Design Thinking is a collaborative intelligence methodology that structure multidisciplinary teams in order to solve a business problem by engaging stakeholders from the beginning with empathy.

In order to ensure the success of a Design Thinking workshop, some rules have to be applied by participants during their collaboration mainly;

1. Being User-centric means having empathy towards him, understand his needs, his frustrations and inspirations.

2. Staying focused on subject enables advancing faster and better to target the tackled problem.

3. Keeping one conversation at a time enhances active listening, improves understanding and render exchange between participants clearer.

4. Working multidisciplinary brings-out multiple point of views of the problem and significantly enhance existing visons.

5. Being visual provides a clearer vision of the subject and the ideas as well as a better comprehension for all.

6. Building on ideas of others remains a positive behavior enhancing collaboration and co-building, stimulating participants and encouraging them to bring more energy to the group.

7. Differ judgment shows open mind attitude towards expressed ideas and visions and avoids blocking energy if an idea is a bit different than others.

8. Encourage wild ideas boosts creativity and innovation and even if these ideas appear unrealistic or unfeasible with the existing resources and technologies, they open the door to other ideas that might be more adapted to the context.

9. Going for quantity is key element as it ensures the availability of numerous ideas and visions that will be displayed and will increase the choice in the following steps.

10. Fail early and often is the base of any learning, as learning by doing is the simplest and easiest way learn. way.

All these rules plus a learning posture and an open mind set will bring the necessary energy to boost teamwork and produce more and even better during the Design Thinking workshop

“Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.”
